Tourist Attraction Information

特別天然記念物の雷鳥が生息する立山
室堂に生息する特別天然記念物の雷鳥は、高山で冬を越せる珍しい鳥。室堂平周辺は、中部山岳でも生息数が多く、霊山立山では、昔から「神の使い」として大切にされてきた。初夏にはみくりが池周辺の岩の上などで、オスの姿を見ることができる。立山自然保護センターのレクチャールームでは、雷鳥の映像も見られる。

みくりが池周回コースでトレッキング
立山黒部アルペンルートには、数多くのトレッキングコースが整備されていて、そのひとつが、温泉からもほど近い「みくりが池周回コース」だ。室堂ターミナルから、起伏の少ない遊歩道を進む約1時間のコース。日本最古の山小屋「立山室堂」、みどりが池や血の池、みくりが池などの見どころがあり、夏は花畑が美しく、5～6月は雷鳥に出会えるチャンス。
