温泉の名物

コシと喉越しが特徴の手延べそうめん
江戸時代から伝わる、富山の歴史あるそうめんが「大門素麺」。手延べそうめんのため、強いコシとなめらかな喉越しが特徴。長い麺を丸まげ状に丸めてあるので、「島田素麺」とも「丸まげ素麺」とも呼ばれる。一晩寝かせてグルテンを出し、約10日前後かけて本乾燥を行うため、そうめん本来の深い味わいが出る。砺波地方で、そうめん生産に適した初冬から晩春にかけて作られ、昔から包装紙に生産者の名前が入っていることも特徴。

温泉のあれこれ

約300品種約300万本のチューリップ
砺波チューリップ公園をメイン会場に、毎年4月下旬から5月上旬に開催されるのが「となみチューリップフェア」。期間中は、約300品種約300万本のチューリップが咲き誇る。約20万本のチューリップで描かれる大花壇の地上絵を、公園のシンボル・チューリップタワーから望むのも楽しい。
