Tourist Attraction Information

温泉のあれこれ

河原の湯だまりの野天風呂
祖母谷温泉の上流部には「祖母谷地獄」という源泉地帯がある。そして川のいたるところから湯煙が上がっている。ここの人気が「河原の露天風呂」。河原に湧く源泉温度80度以上の湯を、冷たい川の水と混ぜ、湯だまりを湯船にして浸る、野趣あふれる露天風呂だ。以前は自分で掘って湯船を作ることもできたが、2005年の水害後は禁止となっている。
