「上越国際プレイランド」は、北日本最大級のウォーターアドベンチャー施設。体ひとつで滑る、全長150mと100mの「ウォーターボブスレー」や、大きな浮き輪に乗って滑る、全長180mの川下り「ワイルドリバー」は迫力満点。水深40cmの幼児専用「ちびっこプール」や、水深30cmの「水あそび広場」もあるので、幼児やプールデビューの子どもも安心。ゴーカート・メリーゴーランド・パターゴルフなどもあり、1日中遊べる。

上越国際スキー場は、魚沼丘陵地帯の最高峰当間山から続く斜面約1000万㎡（東京ドーム約214個分）の、日本屈指のゲレンデ。最大斜度38度を誇る上級者向け大別当ゲレンデや、変化に富むパノラマゲレンデ、初心者もスキーやスノボーが楽しめる長峰ゲレンデと、コースレイアウトが多彩。また、スノーパークや「雪の遊園地」など施設も充実。温泉はスキー場内にあるので、すぐに体を温めることができ、露天風呂で雪見風呂も楽しめる。
