ワインもおいしい美ヶ原
美ヶ原高原の麓・山辺は、上質なぶどうの産地として知られており、「山辺ワイナリー」がある。山辺地区産の食用のデラウエアとナイアガラを使ったワインは、ヨーロッパのワイン用の品種で作ったものとは一味違い、甘くてフレッシュな味わいがある。そして、温泉街では毎年秋に、松本地方のワイナリー7社のおすすめワインと手作りのつまみを味わいながら散策できるワインイベントが催される。

温泉のあれこれ

美ヶ原高原を通り抜けるロングトレイル
美ヶ原高原ロングトレイルは、元々あった登山道や散策路をつないで再整備した遊歩道で、全8コース・総延長約45km。美ヶ原高原を中心に、北は四賀地区の金山町を起点に戸谷峰、武石峰を通り、「日本百名山」でもある美ヶ原高原王ヶ頭を目指す。王ヶ頭に立てば、北アルプス、南アルプス、八ヶ岳などの雄大な山々が大パノラマで広がる。そしてアルプス展望コースを抜け、茶臼山、三峰山、鉢伏山を通り南の起点である牛伏寺に至る。
