Highlights

This hot spring wells up at the foot of the Northern Yatsugatake Mountains and has an abundant supply of water. It is known as Takeda Shingen's secret hot spring, and has been used for therapeutic purposes since ancient times.

温泉の名物

蓼科の銘菓「九増兵衛餅」
「九増兵衛餅」は、蓼科の銘菓として知られている。諏訪特産の氷餅をまぶした一口サイズの餅菓子で、四季をイメージし、春のよもぎ・夏のしそ・秋の栗・冬のくるみの4種類がある。しっとりとして、添加物を一切使わない自然のおいしさが人気。春には風雅な香りの桜餅も加わる。餅の名は、江戸時代に蓼科の新湯を発見した店の先祖、矢崎喜惣次にちなむ。

温泉のあれこれ

100人乗り大型ロープウェイで空中散歩
北八ヶ岳ロープウェイは、蓼科高原にあるロープウェイ。山麓駅の縞枯山の鞍部と山頂駅の北八ヶ岳の横岳を結んでいる。通年運行していて、夏場の八ヶ岳の登山者やハイキング客に利用されているほか、冬場には、ロープウェイに併設する直営のスキー場「ピラタス蓼科スノーリゾート」へのスキーヤーの足となっている。100人乗り大型ロープウェイで、7分間の空中散歩が楽しめる。山頂駅には、自然が造り出した芸術「坪庭」が広がる。
