2年寝かせた関谷小四郎味噌
信州高山温泉郷のひとつ、山田温泉の宿「風景館」で作っている「関谷小四郎味噌」は、じっくりと2年間熟成させた絶品の自家製味噌。味噌樽は、5代目関谷小四郎から伝わる、50年間変わらぬ秘伝のもの。宿では、味噌汁をはじめとする料理に使っているが、売店でお土産としても販売されている。「金山寺味噌」や「豆風味味噌」も人気の品。

温泉のあれこれ

渓谷を茶庭に見立てた演出の遊歩道
「舞の道遊歩道」は、松川渓谷を茶庭に見立てた散策道。全長約1.3km、所要時間約30分の道のりで、真っ赤な色が印象的な高井橋のたもとから、山田温泉薬師堂の上に至る。与謝野晶子の歌碑が立つ露地門から入り、中門、待合を経て、亭主の待つあずまや「松楓庵」へ到るという趣向になっている。松川のせせらぎや鳥のさえずりが耳に心地よく、秋には紅葉で彩られる。
