温泉の名物

昼神温泉郷の新名物「花桃饅頭」
白・ピンク・赤の色彩が混ざった「花桃饅頭」は、阿智村を代表する花「花桃」と、お隣飯田市の伝統ある和菓子文化が融合したもので、阿智村の第3セクターが商品化した。花桃の特徴である、愛らしいピンクと白の混ざり合った花を連想させ、ピンク色の花びらをイメージした饅頭には城下町・飯田の茶文化が生んだ、伝統あるこし餡が、白の花びらをイメージした饅頭には、桜の葉を練り込んだピンク色の鮮やかなこし餡が入っている。

温泉のあれこれ

年中無休の「昼神の朝市」
阿智川のほとり、昼神温泉郷の中心部には、「朝市広場」が設置されている。年中無休で午前6時頃から立つこの朝市は、昼神温泉のシンボルとなっている。野菜・果物・手作りこんにゃく・漬物・山菜やきのこ・イナゴの佃煮などがずらりと並ぶ。旬のものとしては、春にはわらび・たらの芽・ふき・たけのこ、夏にはトマト・とうもろこし・桃、秋には天然きのこ・りんごなどが顔を出す。「物味湯産手形」を持っているとお得になる。
