温泉の名物

注目を集める洞爺湖発祥のスイーツ
洞爺湖温泉を訪れた際にぜひ食べたいのが、洞爺湖発祥のスイーツ「白いおしるこ」。洞爺湖周辺で採れる白いんげんと有珠山麓で育った牛のミルクを加えて作られた、その名の通り真っ白なおしるこだ。温かいおしること、アイスクリームを合わせた冷たいおしるこがあり、見た目のインパクトと優しい味で注目を集めている。販売店の店内でも食べられるほか、テイクアウトも可能。地方発送できるお土産用もある。

温泉のあれこれ

洞爺湖の夜を毎夜彩る打ち上げ花火大会
すっかり洞爺湖の名物となった「洞爺湖ロングラン花火大会」。毎年4月下旬から約半年に渡って荒天時をのぞく毎夜、花火が打ち上げられる。2013年からは、打ち上げ数が約350発から約450発に増えた。最大100発が連続で上がり、人気の水中花火も毎日実施。花火は洞爺湖上を移動する船上から打ち上げられるため、洞爺湖温泉街のどこからでも楽しめるほか、鑑賞船も出航。打ち上げ船に合わせて鑑賞船も動くので、間近で花火が見られる。
