十勝川温泉の新たな名産品が「十勝川モール温泉豚」。化粧品などにも活用されるモール温泉を、水の代わりに与えて放牧環境で育てた豚は脂身がジューシーで甘く、旨味たっぷりで肉質も柔らかい。この豚を使った料理は、十勝川温泉の温泉宿で提供されるほか、レトルトの「十勝川モール温泉豚丼」や「モール豚カレー」もあり、お土産にも最適。チャーシューにモール温泉豚を使用したカップタイプの「十勝川温泉十勝ラーメン」もある。

ゆっくり歩いて動植物との出会いを満喫
地域に昔からある、ありのままの風景を楽しみながら歩くフットパス。北海道内にも田園や丘陵地帯、牧場などを歩くコースが多数ある。そのひとつ、十勝川温泉フットパスは十勝川河畔、十勝エコロジーパーク、十勝が丘展望台を巡る3コース。それぞれに十勝の景色や動植物との出会いを満喫できる。コース上には順路や現在地がわかる看板も設置。ガイドセンターのスタッフによる季節の花をはじめとした見どころの情報提供も行われる。
