Tourist Attraction Information

From Arishima Tower, which is attached to the Arishima Memorial Museum, you can get a panoramic view of Mt. Yotei, the symbol of Niseko. The sunrise seen from the Niseko Bridge is also a spectacular sight.

良質の生乳で作られたおいしいチーズ
農業や酪農が盛んで、良質の生乳が手に入るニセコを含む後志支庁管内にはチーズ工房が点在し、それぞれに工夫を凝らしたナチュラルチーズを製造。なかには、過去に「ALL JAPANナチュラルチーズコンテスト」で審査員特別賞を受賞したチーズも。新鮮なチーズが購入できる売店はもちろん、チーズやチーズソフトクリーム、チーズプリン、フロマージュブランなど加工スイーツを提供するカフェやティールームを併設している工房もある。

温泉のあれこれ

かつてニセコの農場主であった有島武郎
ニセコの観光スポットのひとつに、白樺派を代表する作家・有島武郎の作品、手紙、写真などを展示し、有島文学と彼の人となりに触れられる「有島記念館」がある。農学者を志して札幌農学校に進んだ有島武郎は、父から農場を相続。それが狩太村（現・ニセコ町）にあった有島農場で、その事務所跡地近くに記念館は建つ。ニセコは彼の出世作といわれる『カインの末裔』の舞台にもなっており、この地と有島武郎が縁深いことがわかる。
