Tourist Attraction Information

Along the Shirakaba Highway leading to Biei Shirogane Onsen, there is the Blue Pond, Shirogane Fudo Falls, and Shirahige Falls, where groundwater flows down into the hot spring town.

神秘的な光景が人気の観光スポット
ブルーの水をたたえる池の水面から枯れた立木がまっすぐにのび、神秘的な光景を生み出している「白金青い池」は、びえい白金温泉周辺で近年人気を呼んでいる観光スポット。白ひげの滝などにも流れる地下水の成分と美瑛川の水が混ざることで生成された粒子が、太陽光を反射することによって鮮やかな青色に見えるという。奥に流れる美瑛川もまた淡いブルーの色合いで、青い池とともに美しい景観を撮影しようと、カメラを手にした人が多く訪れる。

温泉のあれこれ

森を抜ける風を感じながらのんびり散策
びえい白金温泉周辺には、3つの遊歩道が整備されている。ひとつは、温泉街に続く白樺街道沿いの白樺遊歩道。青い池の駐車場から温泉街までの約3kmには白金不動の滝もあり、のんびりと森を散策しながら歩きたい。温泉街の東にある原生林遊歩道は、チップを敷いたなだらかで歩きやすいコースで、野鳥観察がおすすめだ。温泉街から標高930mの十勝岳望岳台まで続くのは、ウグイス谷遊歩道。十勝岳望岳台からは、美瑛・富良野一帯が見渡せる。
