鐘崎漁港は地域ブランドの宝庫
鐘崎漁港の釣アジを地域ブランド化したのが「釣りあじ玄ちゃん」。玄界灘で一本釣りされた26cm以上のアジにだけに、その名が許される。さらには天然トラフグといえば鐘崎で、全国有数の天然トラフグの水揚げを誇る。「鐘崎とらふく」とは、鐘崎漁協ふぐ船団が玄海灘等で漁獲した天然トラフグのブランド。活きのいい天然トラブクの料理は絶品。鐘崎活イカは、透明で弾力のある身が新鮮さの証拠。甘くとろーりとした味わいが魅力だ。

全国白砂青松百選のさつき松原
玄海国定公園の代表的な景勝といえば、白砂青松の数々。その中のひとつ、名勝さつき松原は、福岡・北九州両政令都市のほぼ中間に位置し、美しい海岸線約5kmにわたり、樹齢200年の黒松林が続く。ホテルに隣接しているさつき松原の植林の歴史は400年以上にも及ぶ。筑前国初代藩主として着任後まもない黒田長政が、田畑の風よけ、砂防のために松の植栽を命じた。この人工的な工事が、年月を経て自然と調和した景勝を生み出した。
