温泉のあれこれ

財界の巨人に名工が捧げた瀟洒な建築物
旧渋沢邸は1878年に清水喜助が深川福住町で建築。移築先の三田綱町で1930年に西村好時の設計により洋館を増築した。のちに大蔵大臣公邸や政府第一公邸としても使用された瀟洒な建物は、1991年に現在地に移築され、2009年六戸町の有形文化財に指定された。本格的な和風建築に巧みに融合された洋館は、財界名士の居亭のみならず、近代名工の文化遺産として貴重。押さえた表現の中に見られる、華麗な技術や佇まいが見どころだ。
