温泉の名物

期間限定、地元発信の朝市
秋の宮スキー場下の駐車場で、5月～11月上旬に開催される朝市。個人の農園の看板を掲げ、それぞれの看板には名前に「ちゃん」が付くことから、「ちゃんちゃん朝市」といわれている。新鮮な野菜や出店者が自分で採ってきた山菜、きのこ、自家製漬物など、秋の宮ならではのものが購入できる。土・日曜、祝日の午前中のみの営業なので、タイミングが合えば、ぜひ覗いてみたい。

温泉のあれこれ

憩いの場「川原の湯っこ」
旧博物館そばの川原には、「川原の湯ッコ」と呼ばれる野湯が存在する。スコップが用意されていて、川原を掘ると温泉が湧いてくる。好みの大きさで掘り、石で囲み、清流を取り入れて温度調整すれば、野趣あふれる自分だけの足湯が完成する。さらに深く湯船を掘れば露天入浴を楽しむこともできる。地元ボランティアが足湯タオルが用意してくれていて、足湯近くの食堂もラーメン等を出前してくれるのもうれしい。
