Oirase Stream is located in the Towada Hachimantai National Park, a mountain stream of about 14 km from Lake Towada Nenokuchi to Yakiyama.
It is a nationally designated special scenic spot and natural monument. Trekking along the promenade along the mountain stream is also recommended! You can enjoy the beautiful scenery especially during the fresh greenery and autumn foliage season.

Lake Towada straddles the cities of Towada in Aomori Prefecture and the town of Kosaka in Akita Prefecture, and is the only double caldera lake in the Japan.
It is 401 m above sea level and has a circumference of about 46.2 km, with the deepest point being 326.8 m. In terms of area, it is the 12th largest lake in Japan and the third in Japan in terms of depth.
Towada The main attraction of the lake is the excursion on the lake. You can explore the beautiful Towada Lake in about 50 minutes.

Mt. Hakkoda is one of the Japan 100 famous mountains and is the northernmost volcanic group in Honshu, consisting of 18 stratovolcanoes and lava cones.
There are many wetlands scattered around, such as the Tashirodaira Marsh and the Tamomo Marsh, and you can enjoy a variety of flowers such as rowan, hakusan rhododendron, and Ezo hydrangea with a view of the mountains.
At the foot of the mountain, you can also enjoy hot springs such as sour-gayu, which is famous for its 1,000-person bath.

Mt. Hakkoda a chain of more than 10 mountains, including Mt. Akakura and Mt. Takada, with Mt. Odake at an altitude of 1,584m as its main peak. Take Hakkoda Ropeway for a 10-minute aerial stroll.
