与那国の海に眠る神秘の遺跡
石垣島と台湾のほぼ中間にあり、日本の最西端に位置する島・与那国の海に眠る海底遺跡です。
その正体は、新川鼻の断岸の岬からわずか100m沖合の海底にある、全長約100ｍ、幅約60ｍ、高さ約25ｍの一枚岩です。
自然に出来たものなのか人工的に造られたものなのか今も謎に包まれています。
1986年にダイバーによって発見されてから、今もなお謎に包まれた海底遺跡には、多くのダイバーが一目見ようと海に潜りにやってきます。
