Fruit picking and vegetable harvesting tours and trips

Below are the main fruit (fruit) picking times: The actual time may vary depending on the weather and region.

・ Cherry picking: May. ~ Jul. every year
・ Peach picking: Late Jun. ~ Aug.
・ Melon picking: Late Jun. ~ Aug.
・ Pear picking: Aug. ~ Oct. every year
・ Fig picking: Usually Aug. mid ~ Oct.
・ Blueberry picking: Jun. ~ Sep. every year
・ Chestnut picking: Usually Sep. ~ Oct.
・ Grape picking such as Kyoho and Shine Muscat: Jul. ~ Nov. every year
・ Strawberry picking: Late Dec. ~ early May.

We recommend wearing clothes that are easy to move in and that you don't mind getting dirty, as well as shoes that are non-slip.
If you are concerned about UV rays during the summer, we recommend wearing a hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from UV rays.
Some fields may not have running water, so having wet wipes on hand is convenient as you can quickly wipe your hands clean from fruit juice and other stains.

In principle, the tour will be held rain or shine. Some farms may not allow you to use umbrellas, so please bring a raincoat or similar.
You can enjoy picking strawberries and other greenhouse-grown fruits regardless of the weather.

Below are some tips to help you choose the best fruit!

Cherries
We recommend ones that are completely colored red, have firm, shiny skin, large grains, and have thick, beautiful green stems.
·peach
Choose one that is bright red and has a sweet fragrance, is symmetrical, plump and beautifully rounded, has firmness and weight, and has shallow grooves in the cracks (sutures) in the fruit.
·melon
When the melon is ripe to eat, the vines will begin to wither and when you tap the melon, it will make a muffled "boom, boom" sound.
·pear
We recommend those that are plump overall in terms of shape, color, weight, and skin condition, with a large, firm base, and a heavy weight.
·fig
A plump, shiny, firm skin and white liquid on the cut end of the stem are signs of freshness.
·blueberry
Fully ripe blueberries are characterized by a deep blue-purple color all the way to the base of the stem. Fully ripe blueberries can be easily picked with just a light touch, and are sweet and delicious.
·chestnut
A deep brown, shiny outer skin is a sign of freshness. Also, the longer it has been since harvest, the lighter it will become as it loses moisture, so we recommend picking a heavy one.
・Grapes ・Shine Muscat
We recommend black grapes that are dark purple, red grapes that are deep red, and green grapes that are yellowish, with a firm surface and a thick layer of white powder called bloom.

Choose ones that are deep red all the way to the stem, ones with red grains, and ones with a stem that curves back significantly.
