Fruit picking and vegetable harvesting tours and trips

Below are the main fruit picking seasons. The actual timing may vary depending on weather and region.

・ Cherry picking: Usually May. ~ Jul.
・ Peach picking: Usually late Jun. ~ Aug.
・ Melon picking: Usually from late Jun. Aug.
・ Pear Picking: Usually Aug. ~ Oct.
・ Fig picking: Usually Aug. mid-Oct.
・ Blueberry picking: Usually Jun. ~ Sep.
・ Chestnut picking: Usually Sep. ~ Oct.
・ Grape picking for Kyoho grapes, Shine Muscat Grapes, etc.: Usually Jul. ~ Nov.
・ Strawberry picking: Usually late Dec. ~ early May.

We recommend wearing clothes that are easy to move in and that you don't mind getting dirty, as well as shoes that are non-slip.
If you are concerned about UV rays during the summer, we recommend wearing a hat and sunscreen to protect yourself from UV rays.
Some fields may not have running water, so having wet wipes on hand is convenient as you can quickly wipe your hands clean from fruit juice and other stains.

In principle, the tour will be held rain or shine. Some farms may not allow you to use umbrellas, so please bring a raincoat or similar.
You can enjoy picking strawberries and other greenhouse-grown fruits regardless of the weather.

Below, we'll introduce some tips for choosing delicious fruit as a reference!

・Cherries
Varieties that are all red, have firm and glossy skins and large berries, and have thick, beautiful green stems are recommended.
・Peach
Choose those with a bright red color and a sweet aroma, symmetrical and plump, beautifully rounded shapes, and those with firmness and weight with shallow grooves in the fruit seam (seam).
・Melon
When it's time to eat, the melon vines start to wither, and the muffled sound of tapping the melon can be heard as "bonbonbon."
・Pears
Shape, color, weight, and skin condition are recommended for plump, with a large, bulging bottom, and a solid weight.
・Figs
If the whole piece is plump, with a firm and shiny skin, and white liquid on the cut edge of the stem, that's proof of freshness.
・Blueberry
A fully ripe blueberry is characterized by a deep bluish-purple color throughout the fruit, with the color firmly applied down to the base of the stem. Also, fully ripe fruits become easy to pick with just a light touch, making them sweet and delicious.
・Chestnut
A dark, glossy, and glossy outer skin is proof of good freshness. Also, as time passes after harvest, the moisture will lose and the product will become lighter, so heavy, heavy pieces are recommended.
・Grapes ・ Shine Muscat Grapes
Black grapes are recommended for black-purple color, red grapes for deep red, and green grapes for yellowish ones. The firm surface is recommended with a well-coated white powder called bloom.
・Strawberries　
Choose ones that are fully red all the way to the stem, have red puncture points, or have a large curved base.
