The sea breeze is strong, and even in summer it can be chilly at night, so be sure to bring a windproof outer layer regardless of the season. There are many walking spots, so comfortable walking shoes are essential. If you plan to walk, it's a good idea to bring rainwear and a lightweight down jacket. Also, cameras and binoculars will come in handy at Hotokegaura and the observation deck. Enjoy the unique scenery of the Shimokita Peninsula to the fullest.

白くそびえる奇岩が立ち並ぶ、下北半島を代表する絶景スポット。 長年の波風に削られた岩が約2kmにわたって連なります。透明度の高い、エメラルドグリーンの海も注目ポイントです。岩や浜にはそれぞれ仏にちなんだ名前が付けられており、奇岩と海の風景も相まって極楽浄土を思わせる日本の秘境。仏ヶ浦の全貌を見られる、 遊覧船でのアクセスが人気です。

A cape located at the northernmost tip of Honshu, Japan. You can see the city of Hokkaido Hakodate in front of you, and if the weather is good, you can see the Goryokaku Tower of the Hakodate. It is a place where you can feel the highly transparent sea and the refreshing sea breeze. In the "Monument to the Northernmost Point of Honshu in Japan", there will be a monument symbolizing the production area of brand tuna "Oma tuna", and other photo spots will be lined up. Speaking of Oma, it is a single bluefin tuna fishing. The tuna monument is modeled after a 440kg tuna that was actually caught in a single fish.

Yagen Gorge is a healing spot where deep forests and streams continue, surrounded by untouched nature. The scenery changes with the fresh greenery of spring, the autumn leaves, and the snowy landscapes of winter, making for a picturesque landscape to enjoy. A walking path along the Yagen Gorge stretches for about 6km and takes about 2 hours, allowing you to enjoy a stroll while listening to the sound of the stream. After your walk, head to Yagen Onsenkyo, which consists of Yagen Onsen and Okuyagen Onsenkyo. At Okuyagen Onsen, there are open-air baths with natural hot spring water, called "Ganso Kappa no Yu" and "Fufu Kappa no Yu," from which you can view the stream.

An observation deck located at an altitude of 878 meters near Mt. Kamaga. You can enjoy a 360-degree panorama of Lake Usoriyama and the mountains of the Hakkoda. We also recommend the beautiful autumn leaves as far as the eye can see during the autumn foliage season. It is attractive no matter when you visit, but the night view is the best thing to see. The city lights are so beautiful that they are called "swallowtails of light", and when the moon rises, it becomes a romantic sight, as if butterflies are looking for a shining jewel. In 2024, it was also certified as a World Night View Heritage Site (selected by the Night View Tourism and Convention Bureau).
