～日本で最も早く見事な紅葉を楽しむ～
旭岳、黒岳、そして黒岳の麓の層雲峡エリアの例年の紅葉の見頃時期は9月中旬～10月中旬。
道内最高峰、旭岳のロープウェイは、標高約1100mの山麓駅から約1600mの姿見駅まで約10分の空中散歩。紅葉シーズンには、ウラジロナナカマドやチングルマなどから徐々に色づき始め、黄色や赤色の鮮やかな紅葉の絨毯が山肌を彩ります。観賞ポイントは、ロープウェイの終点、旭岳の五合目にあたる姿見駅から一周約1時間の見晴らしのよい散策路で、初心者でも気軽に歩けるコースです。噴火口の跡にできた姿見の池や夫婦池に映る旭岳や白い噴煙を上げる噴気孔など、変化のある雄大な景色を楽しむことができます。
Hakodate Kosetsuen
～道内唯一の国指定文化財庭園～
見晴公園内にある香雪園は、「旧岩船氏庭園」として道内唯一の国指定文化財庭園で、明治・大正時代に建てられた個性豊かな古建築も見どころのひとつです。秋にはカエデを中心に、約150種におよぶ庭木が紅葉する函館市の紅葉の名勝地となっております。また期間中は夜の紅葉をライトアップするイベントも開催されます

～秀峰駒ヶ岳と湖沼の織りなす景色が美しい国定公園～
大沼湖の秋の風物詩わかさぎ漁が本格化するころ、大沼湖、小沼湖、じゅんさい沼などの湖畔一帯は色鮮やかに染まり始めます。
例年10月中旬から下旬頃、カエデやヤマモミジ、ブナ、ナラなどの紅葉が見頃を迎え、湖と駒ヶ岳を望む景色に一層鮮やかさを添えます。
また10月25日、26日には、打ち上げ花火もあがる大沼貸切クルーズイベントも行われます！

～原生林に囲まれた神秘の沼～

"利尻富士"と呼ばれる秀峰「利尻山」がシンボルの利尻島。その山麓にたたずむ多くの原生林に囲まれた神秘的な小沼が「姫沼」です。天気が良いときには美しい"逆さ利尻富士"に出会えることでも有名な絶景スポットには、沼を1周できる木道が整備されています。感動の風景が待つさいはての浮島、利尻島と礼文島へのご旅行を是非この機会にどうぞ。（紅葉の見ごろは例年9月下旬～10月上旬です）

内陸では日差しが強く、海岸線で時折霧が出ます。お盆過ぎから急に気温が下がり始めます。

中旬頃から朝夕肌寒くなります。下旬には、山側から紅葉が始まります。
[11月]
中旬頃、平地で紅葉が最盛期を迎えます。山では初雪が降り始め、朝夕は吐く息が白くなって、セーターとコートが必要になります。
