Mitokusan Sanbutsu-ji Temple Ippei-do Tours and Travel

The mountain path up to Mt. Mitoku's Nageiredo Hall was originally a place of training, and there are many difficult and steep sections in places, such as clambering over tree roots and rocks, making it a light mountain climbing course.
It takes at least two hours to walk along the mountain path to Nageiredo (excluding breaks). Thank you for your understanding. -
Entry to Sanbutsuji Temple's Ippyagedo Hall will be prohibited if it is deemed dangerous due to rain, fog, etc. (at the discretion of the temple).
If you are unable to enter the mountain, there will be no refund of the tour fee. You will be able to view the shrine from a remote worship site. -
About clothing and belongings
Please wear comfortable walking clothes and footwear (trekking shoes or hiking boots). On the day of your trip, temple staff will check your shoes when you climb Sanbutsuji Temple.
If you don't have trekking shoes, you can purchase "waraji" (straw sandals) at the temple for 900 yen (※).
There are also many areas where you will be using your hands when climbing, so please bring along climbing gloves or work gloves.

三徳山三佛寺投入堂とは

三徳山三佛寺は修験道の古刹です。
山岳信仰の霊山として知られる鳥取県の三徳山は、信仰が盛んだったため、昔のままの豊かな自然が手つかずで残っています。
麓には三院（輪光・皆成・正善）と本堂が位置し、本堂の裏の宿入橋（しくいりはし）を渡ると、背後にそびえる岩山の急勾配を利用して多数のお堂が建てられています。三佛寺境内の一番奥、断崖絶壁に建つ投入堂のその奇跡のような姿は、とても人間技には見えず、神秘的な雰囲気が漂い、役行者伝説が今もなお語られ続けています。
