Takeda Castle Tour/Travel

As this is the "remains" of Takeda Castle, only the stone walls remain as they were at the time, but there are no buildings.
The castle is highly rated for its view of the castle town from the ruins, the stone walls that remain intact and give a sense of history, and the fantastical beauty of floating above the clouds when a sea of clouds appears.

The highest tower of Takeda Castle Ruins is 353.7m above sea level.

Generally, group buses will go as far as "Yamashiro no Sato." From here, you will transfer to a minibus or taxi, and then we will take you to the castle ruins, a 20-minute walk including some uphill sections.

It takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour.
*Due to repair work currently underway within the castle ruins, the journey will take approximately 30 to 40 minutes.

The time when the sea of clouds occurs is from dawn to about 8 a.m. from Sep. ~ Nov.. Late autumn is especially the time when the thickest sea of clouds is likely to appear.
Dec. Late ~ Feb. A sea of clouds will occur until the end of the month, but be careful as snow may accumulate.
The conditions for a sea of clouds are "sunny days", "large temperature difference between morning and daytime", and "weak wind", which depends on weather conditions.

Due to the steep slope and large stone steps, it is quite difficult for wheelchair users to enter the facility.

Please wear sneakers that you are comfortable in. High heels and sandals are dangerous.
Also, after rain, the ground will be muddy, so we recommend that you visit the castle dressed in clothes that you don't mind getting dirty.

The only toilets within the castle ruins are located near the entrance and there are a limited number of them, so please make sure to use them before entering the castle.
