It is not easy to explore Echigo via public transportation due to hilly slopes and limited train services to reach there. It is advisable to follow a tour group to explore Naeba in Niigata. Naeba Koyo tour is limited time only and it is hard to see autumn leaves with Dragondola and other ropeway aids to explore Niigata. There is also very limited Niigata tours offered in non Japanese travel platform and I enjoyed seeing Koyo, the weather and the hills during the trip.
