Summer: The charm of Kanazawa in summer is the "Kaga vegetables" that are in season. You can enjoy dishes made with ingredients that can only be tasted at this time of year, when the land is blessed with plenty of bounty. Autumn: Kanazawa is known for its beautiful autumn leaves. Kenrokuen Garden is especially recommended, with its vast garden lined with red-tinted trees, which are also lit up at peak times. *The best time to see the autumn leaves in Kenrokuen Garden is usually from early to late Nov.. Winter: The most attractive thing about winter in Kanazawa is the combination of snow and scenery. The "Snow Hanging in Kenrokuen Garden" is a fantastic winter feature unique to Kanazawa. What kind of clothes should I wear?

Spring: It doesn't snow much in Mar., but it's still cold, so we recommend wearing a warm coat or knitwear. You still need a jacket in Apr., but in May. a light jacket will suffice. Early summer: May. to Jun. is comfortable, so a long-sleeved shirt or a short-sleeved shirt is fine on hotter days. Summer: From Jul. to Aug., the temperature rises dramatically, so short sleeves or sleeveless clothing is best. It's a good idea to bring a parasol to protect yourself from the sun. Autumn: In early Sep., you will be fine with just a thin jacket, but from late Sep. to early Oct. you will need a jacket or cardigan. Also, in late Nov., it will get cold enough that you will need winter clothes such as a coat. Winter: Kanazawa gets very cold in the winter, so it's essential to prepare for the cold. Of course, you'll need a coat, scarf, and gloves, but it's also useful to have boots or rubber boots in case it snows.
