Tottori's most famous tourist spot is the Tottori Sand Dunes. They are one of the largest sand dunes in Japan, stretching about 2.4km from north to south and 16km from east to west. The scenery created by the wind and sand changes every moment, making it a spectacular sight that is never the same again. We also recommend various activities, such as a camel ride to view the sand dunes and a sand dune lift that offers a panoramic view of the Sea of Japan and the Tottori Sand Dunes.
One of the recommended places to visit in Sakaiminato is the Mizuki Shigeru Memorial Museum, a museum dedicated to the manga artist. The street stretching for about 800m from Sakaiminato Station to the museum, with 177 bronze statues of monsters on both sides, is commonly known as Mizuki Shigeru Road. The Showa retro streetscape and the numerous bronze statues make you feel like you've entered the world of monsters, and are a must-see.

We recommend visiting the Tottori Flower Corridor in the spring, located in the western part of Tottori Prefecture. Flower beds with various themes are arranged on a site of about 50 hectares. At the center is a large flower dome, and in the glass greenhouse, more than 500 orchids are grown, and in the spring, colorful tulips bloom in full bloom.
In the summer, we recommend Tottori's famous mountain, Mt. Daisen. If the weather is good, you can see all the way from Yonago to the Shimane Peninsula from the summit. In autumn, the beech trees turn golden yellow and the maples and rowan trees turn red, creating a beautiful autumn color. In the winter, we recommend hot springs and fine food. Misasa Onsen, located in central Tottori Prefecture, is famous for its abundant hot spring water, with nearly 100 hot springs. After the hot spring, enjoy fresh seafood delivered directly from Sakaiminato Fishing Port.

If this is your first visit, we recommend a round trip plan to stay at famous hot springs in San'in San'yo. For a 3-day trip to Tamatsukuri Onsen in Shimane Prefecture and Misasa Onsen in Tottori Prefecture, there are plans to visit tourist attractions such as "Tottori Sand Dunes", "Adachi Museum of Art" and "Izumo Taisha" at least once at San'in San'yo. If you would like to visit the national treasure "Mitokuzan Debitai-do", which can only be reached on foot, a hiking trip accompanied by a local guide is also recommended. Tottori Prefecture is also known as "Hoshitori Prefecture" because the Milky Way is visible in many parts of the prefecture and shooting stars are easy to see. Plans to go see the beautiful starry sky after dinner are also popular.

A Tottori Prefecture specialty is the "mosa ebi." This type of shrimp is caught in the Sea of Japan from autumn to spring, and because it loses its freshness quickly, it can only be enjoyed in areas close to the port, making it a kind of mythical shrimp. It is a popular ingredient with a stronger sweetness and richer flavor than amaebi (sweet shrimp).
What you want to eat in the summer is "Iwagaki" (rock oysters). The rock oysters harvested from Uradome Beach in Iwami Town are particularly famous and attract many oyster lovers. High-quality rock oysters harvested within the prefecture are shipped under the brand name "Natsuki."
